Sharon "Icky" Fontana

September 4, 1947 - June 13, 2023

Sharon "Icky" Fontana, age 75 and a resident of the Clifton Community, passed away Tuesday June 13, 2023 at Ochsner Medical Center in New Orleans after a lengthy illness. She was born in Tickfaw on September 4, 1947 and lived in Washington Parish for nearly 40 years. Icky worked as a chef at many different restaurants throughout the area and more recently provided home care for people in need of assistance. She enjoyed fishing and eating watermelon. Icky loved to travel and play cards with her family and friends.

Survived by: Daughter and Son in law: Lichelle and Alvin Kost; Sons and a Daughter in law: Lonnie Adams, Jr., Lorne Adams, Sr. and Hannah Adams; Grandchildren and Spouses: Shelbey Clark, Peighton Clark, Maci Kost, Dillon Kost, Michael and Brandi Freeman, Anthany and Alexi Adams, Britnie Adams, Lonnie Adams, III, Tyler and Olivia Marcel, Lorne Adams, Jr. and Katie Adams, Gavin Adams, Alexis Adams, Callie Grace Adams, Maya Adams; 9 Great-grandchildren; “Sisters”: Rosemary Owens, Sheila Staub and their families; Also numerous nieces and nephews

She was preceded in death by her parents Jake Fontana and Eola Billiot Fontana and brother Bruce Fontana.

Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home (1109 Bene Street, Franklinton) Saturday June 17th from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 2:00 pm Saturday with Rev. Frederick Brumfield officiating. Burial will follow in the Fontana Family Cemetery.
