George D. Rutherford
September 3, 1937 - June 1, 2023
George D. Rutherford, age 85 and a resident of the Enon Community, passed away early Thursday morning June 1, 2023 at Lakeview Regional Medical Center. He enjoyed living on his camp on the Bogue Chitto River for many years. George was retired from Exxon and Land-O-Pines Family Campground.
Survived by: Wife of 28 years: Gail Rutherford; Daughters: Gwen Pereda, Jesse Greene; Step-son: Brain O’Cull; Grandchildren: Jacklyn Chighizola, Jordan Greene; Great-granddaughter: Cora Chighizola; Brother in law: Jimmy Watson; Nephew: Jason Watson
He was preceded in death by his son Michael Rutherford, parents George F. Rutherford and Corinth Longmire Rutherford and a sister Betty Watson
A private memorial service for his family will be held at a later date.
