Brenda Gail Rester Miller
June 3, 1955 - May 23, 2023
Brenda Gail Rester Miller, age 67 and a resident of the Thomas Community, passed away Tuesday morning May 23, 2023 at Lakeview Regional Medical Center after a lengthy illness. She worked as a 411 operator at Bellsouth/AT&T for over 20 years before retiring. Brenda accepted Jesus Christ as her savior as a young teenager and lived the rest of her life a devoted Christian woman. She was a charter member of New Beginning Baptist Church that truly loved the Lord and her church family. Brenda was active at her church playing the piano for services, leading the youth group and youth choir, teaching Sunday School and working at vacation bible school each summer. After retiring, Brenda and her husband traveled to different areas of the country with his work, often living there for several months or even years. In each community they settled in, Brenda was quick to find a church where she could fellowship with her new church family. While there, she helped to pay for countless young people she met to attend church camps, also helping with their school supplies and clothes. Each time doing so was a blessing for her to share God’s love. Brenda often wrote special poems on birthday cards for her family and friends and she enjoyed sewing and embroidery. She loved her family above all else and cherished the time they spent together.
