Today (April 27, 2023), the Board of Supervisors of the University of Louisiana System officially selected and announced Southeastern's next president: William S. Wainwright, Ph.D.
Wainwright comes to Southeastern with over 24 years of experience in higher education and will be the 15th president of Southeastern Louisiana University. Most recently, he has served for seven years as chancellor of Northshore Technical Community College (NTCC). During his tenure at NTCC, he helped lead exponential growth and success for the institution, including expansion of campuses and tripled enrollment that led NTCC to become one of the fastest growing community colleges in the nation.
