Jackie Hunt Harrison

February 8, 1952 - April 9, 2023

Jackie Hunt Harrison, age 71 and a resident of Franklinton, passed away peacefully Sunday morning April 9, 2023 after a courageous four-year battle with cancer. She was an L.P.N. for many years, first at Highland Park Hospital, then St. Tammany Parish Hospital and medical clinics in the area. Jackie was a member of Ben’s Ford Baptist Church who enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family. She was a former member of the Red Hat Society and an active member of The Magnolia Belles. Jackie loved working in yard and keeping it in immaculate condition.

Survived by: 3 Children: Jill Harrison, Kevin Harrison, Scott Harrison all of Franklinton; Grandchildren and Spouses: Mindy and Jeremy Kneer, Corey and Kinsie Armstrong, Megan Miller, Bret and Nancy Miller, Brendan Beck, Zachary Rivarde, Emma Harrison, Jordan Scott Harrison; Sister and Brother in law: Karen and Donald Varnado; Brothers and a Sister in law: Paul and Ida Hunt, Kim Hunt; Special Friends: Edna and Barry Kennedy; Also numerous nieces and nephews

She was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years Tony Truman Harrison, parents Vernon Hunt and Aline Miley Hunt, a brother Michael Hunt and an infant sister Patty Sue Hunt.

Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home Wednesday April 12th from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm and after 9:00 am on Thursday. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 11:00 am Thursday with Rev. Lynn Martin officiating. Burial will follow in the Hunt Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorial donations to the American Cancer Society (www.cancer.org) or to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital (www.stjude.org)
