Betty B. Knight

January 28, 1931 - March 7, 2023

Mrs. Betty B. Knight, a resident of Bogalusa, LA, passed away on Tuesday, March 7, 2023. She was ninety-two years old and is now rejoicing in Heaven.    Mrs. Betty worked for over twenty-eight years at Bellsouth and was manager of the Bogalusa office for over twenty years.  She loved traveling and her favorite destination was the Great Smokey Mountains.  She also loved attending church, reading her Bible, and spending time with her children and grandchildren whom she adored.

Mrs. Betty is survived by her children, Tommy Daniel (Karen) Knight, Gary Bruce (Debbie) Knight, James Calvin (Shannon) Knight, and Emily Faye Branch; her seven grandchildren, Jeffery James (Shannon) Branch, Kelly Danette Arthur, Laurie Beth (Mike) Madryga, Gary Bruce (Kelly) Knight, Jr., Angie Kim Cancienne, Tyler Daniel (Kirsty) Knight, and Drew Michael (Savannah) Knight; nine great grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren.  She is also survived by her sister-in-law, June Branch; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Knight; her parents, Henry Austin and Myrtis Thelma Branch; one brother, Henry Ray Branch; three sisters, Margie Montero, Ruth Finn, Mary Nell Gowdy; one granddaughter, Terry Ann Jones; and a son in law, James Milo Branch.

Visitation will be held Thursday, March 9, 2023, at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home from 9:00 A.M. until time for the services at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Harold Gaddy and Rev. Clay Norwood officiating the services.  Interment to follow at Crain’s Creek Cemetery.
