Bogalusa Mayor Reports Death Threat at Press Conference

At a press conference Thursday (March 30, 2023) morning, Bogalusa Mayor Tyrin Truong reported that a death threat to him was recently made on a Facebook post. He characterized the threat as serious and having racial undertones. The threat has been reported to the Bogalusa Police Department, the District Attorney's Office, and the Louisiana State Police.

The mayor further stated that many of his staff has been threatened and blamed greedy businessmen and former leaders. 

Also speaking were Assistant Chief Troy Tervalon, representatives of the NAACP, Joel Miller, and City Attorney Kelvin May.
