District Attorney Warren Montgomery reports that on Thursday, February 9, 2023, a St. Tammany Parish grand jury indicted Brian Taylor, age 23 and from Slidell, for second degree murder and Brandon Walker, age 36 and from Marrero, for accessory after the fact and obstruction of justice for a homicide that occurred on September 16, 2022 in Slidell.
An altercation between two employees at the Hyundai of Slidell car dealership escalated and resulted in the shooting death of 22 year-old Zakary Stewart.

The St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s office investigated the investigation. Assistant District Attorney Blake Peters presented the case to the grand jury.
