Richard "Ricky" Rogers

January 18, 1966 - February 2, 2023

We rejoice that his battle is now over and he has peace.

"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” Matthew 11:28

Mr. Richard “Ricky" Rogers, born on January 18, 1966, passed away at his home in Bogalusa, Louisiana on Thursday, February 2, 2023. Ricky always had a heart of gold, and was a hard worker. His pride and joy was his daughter, Ashleigh, and all her accomplishments and his grandchildren.

He is survived by a daughter, Ashleigh Rogers (Bruce) Blakeney; four grandchildren: Mariah Rogers, Laykin Rogers, Tiana Davis, and Isaac Davis; two brothers: Billy Joe (Tyrie) Rogers of Thomas, La and Chris Rogers of Daytona, Fl; two sisters: Sonya Pace of Houston, Tx and Shannon Polk of Hattiesburg, Ms; an aunt: Joyce Byrd; two cousins he was raised with: Lynnette Henley Pounds and Rodney Henley; a companion of 25 years: Deanna Rhoden; a dog: scrappy; and a host of numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and family.

Ricky was preceded in death by his father: Billy Ray Rogers; mother and step-father: Edna Earl and Charles Polk; a grandmother: Letha Gerald Rogers; two uncles: Jimmy Ray Rogers and Green Ray Rogers; his aunt who helped raised him: Jannette Rogers Henley; and Doris Rogers Graves.

A memorial service with be held at a family owned business, Uncle's Pizza in Bogalusa, Louisiana at 3:00 PM on February 19, 2023.
