Obituary

Hynetia Tutti Wilson Dadzie

September 25, 1944 - February 15, 2023

Hynetia "Tutti" Wilson-Dadzie passed away on February 15, 2023 at her home. A native of Franklinton, she spent many years in New York before returning to Franklinton upon retirement. The 6th of 7 siblings, "Tutti" was born to the late Theodore, Sr., and Alma Wilson on September 25, 1944. She professed Christ at an early age and joined New Jerusalem Baptist Church.

She attended school in Washington Parish and graduated from Washington Parish High School in 1963. After graduation, she attended Xavier University in New Orleans, LA where she majored in Medical Technology. Upon graduation she moved to New York and commenced her career at Our Lady of Angles Hospital, working her way up through the ranks to supervisor.  While in New York, she met and married the love of her life, the late Frances Dadzie.

"Tutti" leaves to cherish her memory: 2 sisters, Bobbie W. Burris and Zolda W. Dyson; 2 sisters-in-law, Otheal T. Wilson and JoAnn H. Wilson; 6 nieces, Counta (Greg) Victor, Amy Wilson, Nicole Wilson, Dashun (Cory) Wilson-Howard, Teresa (Cardell) Brumfield, and Vicki (Gerald) Frith; and 3 nephews Howard Dyson, Gerald (Dove) Butler, and Lawrence (Peggy) Wilson; and a host of great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. 

She was preceeded in death by her husband Frances Dadzie; her parents Theodore and Alma Wilson; brothers Theodore Wilson  Jr., Abe Charles Wilson, and Myrtis Lawrence Wilson, and sister Nercelia Wilson-Butler; nephew Ricky Dunham; and brothers-in-law Dock Dyson and Hamilton Burris.

A drive through viewing will be on Friday, February 24, 2023 from 3:00PM – 6:00PM at Crain and Sons Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be on Saturday, February 25, 2023 at 2:00PM at New Jerusalem Baptist Church with Rev. Johnny Causey Sr.– Officiating;  Interment – Green Magee Cemetery. 

Crain and Sons Funeral Home in Franklinton are in charge of arrangement.
