District Attorney Warren Montgomery reports that on Thursday, February 9, 2023, a St. Tammany Parish grand jury indicted Zachary Thomas Silcio-Smith, age 21 and of Hattiesburg, Mississippi, on one count of 1st degree rape of a victim under 13 and one count of sexual battery of a victim under 13.
Smith is accused of sexually abusing two children in Slidell, Louisiana between March 9, 2016 and August 31, 2018.
The St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office conducted the investigation. Assistant District Attorney Ysonde Boland presented the case to the grand jury.
