Last week on January 28, 2023, Marion County MS Sheriff's Office deputies were conducting a safety checkpoint on Highway 98 East and Enon Road. Deputies made contact with a vehicle driven by Crystal Miller of Pensacola, FL. Miller initially gave false information about her identity. Miller's passengers were identified as Stephen Ritchie of McComb, MS and Devin Marzan of Pensacola, FL. Deputies observed drug paraphernalia in plain view in the vehicle and Miller was suspected of driving under the influence.
During Standardized Field Sobriety Tests, Miller admitted to using narcotics and that there was narcotics in the car. Numerous narcotics were found by deputies to include Marijuana, Methamphetamine, Fentanyl, Heroin, Oxycodone, Xanax, and Adderall. A firearm, digital scales, containers, syringes, pipes, and bagging materials were also located.
Miller was charged with 4 counts of possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute while in possession of a firearm, felony possession while in possession of a firearm, DUI, possession of drug paraphernalia, providing false information to law enforcement, as well as 2 out of state warrants from West Virginia and Florida.
Marzan was charged with 6 counts of possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute.
Ritchie was charged with felony possession.
