Louise Quin Fortenberry
February 5, 1935 - December 29, 2022
Louise Quin Fortenberry passed away peacefully at her home in Mount Hermon, Louisiana surrounded by her loving children Lucy, Pam and Rex.
She was a graduate of Baton Rouge High School and, in 1953, married and worked very hard alongside her husband to run a very busy and production dairy farm operation. She and her husband Jerry instilled a very high work ethic in their beloved children, with whom they all worked together as a loving family. Louise was a member of Mount Hermon Baptist Church and held a special place in her heart for Silver Springs Baptist Church.
Survivors include her children - Lucy Fortenberry Wascom of Mount Hermon, Pam Fortenberry Kellar and Tommy Kellar of Winnsboro, Texas, Rex Quin Fortenberry of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; her grandchildren and spouses - Lacy Fortenberry of Mount Hermon, Amy Louise Wascom of Mount Hermon, Amanda and Wayne Cox of Winnsboro, Jamie and Kasey Keahey of Austin, Texas, Rebecca Kellar of Tyler, Texas; her great-grandchildren - Layla and Kalli Riley of Mount Hermon, Jayden and Kellar Cox of Winnsboro.
She was preceded in death by her husband Jerry Lane Fortenberry, Sr., son Jerry Lane Fortenberry, Jr., grandson Cody Lane Fortenberry and parents Percy Edward Quin and Velma Lee Forrest Quin.
Visitation will be held at Crain Funeral Home Saturday December 31st from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. with the funeral conducted at 11 a.m. by Dr. Joe Baugh and Rev. Ray Wuerzer. Burial will follow in Silver Springs Baptist Church Cemetery in Progress, Mississippi.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Mount Hermon Baptist Church or Silver Springs Baptist Church.
