Obituary

Rodrick Hill

December 29, 1978 - December 15, 2022

“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” ( John 3:16)

On December 29, 1978. Rodrick was born in Bogalusa, LA to Peggy Hill, Jimmy Martin and the late Anthony Hill. He was a lifetime member of the Greater Ebenezer Baptist Church where he attended Sunday School and church service, he was also a member of the Junior choir and the Drill team. Rodrick attended Bogalusa City School System where he graduated with the Class of 1997, In 1997 Rodrick enlisted into the United States Military where he served his country until retirement in 2006. Later in life he attended Sullivan –Vo-tech where he received an Associate Degree in Criminal Justice.

He leaves to cherish his memories his wife of 11 years, Tonya Nicole Crawford-Hill, 5 daughters Rodrianna Hill of Baton Rouge, LA and Ra’Kira Hill, Ciara Crawford, Adrianna Terrell, all of Bogalusa, and Bria (Breana) Crawford of Phoenix, Arizona. A son Damon (Samaria) Kirsh of Franklinton, LA, 2 Grandchildren: Khyrie Magee and Lance Williams, his mother Peggy (Alvin) Jones of Bogalusa, LA., his father Jimmie Martin Sr., of Angie, LA, his sister Jervon (Terry) Randell of Plano, Tx, Tecia Hill, Katrina Hill, Kia Hill all of Bogalusa, LA. Jamekia Hill of Baton Rouge, LA, Lachela Miller of Dunwoody, GA. Brothers: Anthony (Emily) Hill Jr. of Shreveport, LA, Terry Martin, Memphis, TN, Brandon Chile of Baton Rouge, LA and Jimmie Martin Jr. of Angie, LA. Sisters-In-Law Erica (Melanie) Crawford of Bogalusa, LA., Lillie (Edna)Crawford of Picayune, MS. A special uncle Elroy Richard of Bogalusa, LA., Special Aunt Vina Jones of Bogalusa, LA. A God brother Darreck   May of Bogalusa, LA. A very special sister like no other Shay Bonds of Bogalusa, LA., a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins

He is preceded in death by his father Anthony E. Hill Sr. Maternal grand-parents Mr. & Mrs. Melvin L.  Hill, Mr. & Mrs. Jenkins, Paternal Mr. & Mrs. Joe Martin a nephew Harold Arnold Jr. and his favorite girl (dog) MiMi
