Christine B. Taylor was called by her angels at the age of 94, on Monday 19, 2022 at her residence where she passed so peacefully. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, aunt, and dear friend who lived an amazing life. She was the daughter of the late Hobson “Hob” Brumfield and Zeal Magee Brumfield. Sister of the late Houston Brumfield, Sr., Oless Brumfield, and Laura Walters.

She attended and graduated from Washington Parish Training School. She later married Lawrence Taylor and to this union they had Gwendolyn R. Berry, Emerson “Dan” Taylor, Winifred Bickham, and Craig Taylor.

She was a devoted and dedicated church member, where she later joined to be Usher for many years at Sweet Home Church of Holiness USA under the leadership of Elder Washington Drake and currently under Elder Kevin Golden. Christine valued her relationship with the Lord, to had to have known her spirit.

She was a House Manager at Riverside Hospital for 34 years where she retired. Soon after she was a Cafeteria Worker at Winan’s Daycare. She also joined the Foster Grandparents Program at Franklinton Head start. She worked up until Covid came where they released the grandparents from duty. She always had a smile on her face, it was her joy to wake up and head out to those children and be an impact.  Christine had the right words at the right time.

She was a strong person, she gave us strength, taught us love and how to love one another. Her wisdom will forever be embraced and remembered. She was a caring soul, helpful with her friends by dropping off groceries. Christine's primary interest was her family, church family, and friends. Now time has come for you to rest, so go in peace, you’ve earned your sleep.
