Mattie McNabb Pasterio

October 28, 1940 - November 23, 2022

Mattie McNabb Pasterio, age 82 and a resident of Mt. Hermon passed away Wednesday night November 23, 2022 at her home after a lengthy illness. She worked at Rutter Rex in Franklinton for many years and also managed the Country Delight store on Hwy. 38 for several years. Mattie was a member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church, where she served in the W.M.U. and as a Sunday School teacher. She also worked in the church nursery and loved taking care of the young children. She was also a member of the Busy Bees group that performed outreach projects for those in need. Mattie enjoyed crocheting, doing cross stitch and completing puzzles. She had a special place in her heart for her pet dogs, especially “Rita”.

Survived by: 2 Daughters and a Son in law: Elizabeth and Shane Hill of Ponchatoula, Linda Sue Pasterio of Mt. Hermon; Grandsons and a Spouse: Christopher and Barbara Hill, Shawn Hill, Stone T. Guy; Sister: Helen King; Brother and Sister in law: Joseph and Bonnie McNabb; Also numerous nieces and nephews

She was preceded in death by her son Joseph Luther Pasterio, parents Frank James McNabb and Robbie Wall McNabb, sister Jean Dees, brothers Bill McNabb, Frank McNabb, Jr., Roger McNabb and other family members.

Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home Saturday November 26th from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 2:00 pm Saturday with Rev. Joey Miller officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church Cemetery.
