Obituary

Dinah Marie Pigott Walker-Bey

April 28, 1948 - November 8, 2022

Our Heavenly Father knows our sadness. He knows our grief and to all our family and friends He will give us relief. His blessed promise will never fail and He will guide us when the death our loved one claims. Jesus knows our sorrow. He knows our pain. He will be our comforter; He will be with us all the way.

Our dear mother, grandmother, sister, auntie, cousin or niece, Sister Dinah Marie Pigott Walker-Bey AKA "Grandma Storm" was born on April 28, 1948 and departed this life on November 8, 2022 at her residence.

She attended school at Central Memorial High School, but left and later received her GED and then received her certification as a Certified Nurse's Assistant in Romulas-MI. She was employed by Hope Long Term Care Facility for 20 plus years until her retirement in Romulas, MI. A job which she really enjoyed doing, helping elderly people.

She moved back to Bogalusa with her husband and joined the Greater Ebenezer Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Rev. Dr. Raymond E. Mims, Sr.

She was proceeded in death by her husband Warren A. Walker-Bey, her mother Gloria Dean Moses Pigott, her father Herman Pigott, Sr., two brothers Ray Anthany Pigott and Herman Pigott, Jr., one sister Joelle Pigott, brother-in-law Douglas Charles McLellan and a sister-in-law Demorace Pigott.

She leaves to mourn her passing: one son Eddie Milton Pigott of Seattle, WA; one daughter Vanessa Lundy of MI; four grandchildren Cherise Lundy of Marietta, GA;

Terrance Lundy of MI; Malachi Lundy of GA and Jousha Pigott (Martina) of Seattle, WA; two great grand children Maya Pigott, Kerrell Lundy, and a granddaughter/great niece that she helped raise Raelyn (Suga) Pigott. Four sisters Sherray McLellan of Buford, GA; Carolyn (Janola,Jr) Walker and Stephanie (Frank) Parker of Bogalusa, LA; and Faye Pigott of Covington, LA. Seven brothers Tyrone Pigott, Terry Pigott, Stephan (Yevone) Pigott, Stanley (Cathy) Pigott, Jeffrey Pigott, Leroy Pigott and Donnell Pigott all of Bogalusa, LA and a host of other relatives and friends.

Cook-Richmond Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
