Pauline Robinson Torrence

February 17, 1934 - October 8, 2022

“I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.”  2 Timothy 4:7 PPauline Robinson Torrence, age 88, was born February 17, 1934, and departed this life on October 8, 2022, at her home.

Pauline was a well-known and respected member of this community.  She was a faithful church member of the Metropolitan Baptist Church until her health started to decline.

She was a graduate of Wesley Ray High School the class of 1953 and she received her cosmetology license from May’s Beauty School. Pauline retired after 40 years as a Switch Board Operator Supervisor at Bogalusa Medical Center which is now Our Lady of the Angels Hospital.

Mrs. Pauline leaves to cherish her memories one son: Hezekah Torrence, Jr. of Bogalusa, LA; one daughter: Veronica (Billy) Thompson of Pearland, TX; five grandkids: Yoshiko LaToi Harry of Lewisville, TX, Chloe’ (Bryan) Williams of Mansfield, TX, Tailer (Jamal) Black of Lindale, TX, Hezekiah Torrence, III of Baton Rouge, LA, Antoine Torrence of Virginia Beach, VA; one great grandson: Tyler R. Redditt, Bogalusa, LA; brother-in-law: Freddie Jefferson of Angie, LA.

Pauline was preceded in death by her parents: Sylvester and Lena Robinson; five brothers: Delois, Samuel, Willie, Claude, and Roscoe Robinson; 2 sisters: Genevive Foster and Earnestine James Davis; one daughter: Sharon Ann Harry; one granddaughter: Tiffany Redditt.

Drive through viewing will be held Friday, October 14, 2022, from 4:00pm – 6:00pm at Crain and Sons Funeral Home – Bogalusa.

The funeral service will be held Saturday, October 15, 2022, at Metropolitan Baptist Church at 11am with the Rev. M. J. Galloway will be officiating. Interment in the Bogalusa Cemetery.
