Covington Police Offers $2000 Reward for Information

The Covington Police Department is offering a $2,000 cash reward for anyone who has information that leads to the arrest of the perpetrator involved in the shooting that occurred on Saturday, October 1, 2022, at the intersection of N. Filmore Street, and W. 33rd Ave. If you have information about this incident, you can contact our Criminal Investigations Division directly at 985-867-1200 and ask to speak with Sergeant Jessica Restel. 

The incident referred to occurred at approximately 8:00 PM.  Responding Officers discovered two people were injured with non-life-threatening gunshot wounds. The two victims were transported to a local hospital to be treated for their injuries and both have since since been released from the hospital.

Chief Ferrell said, “We cannot let senseless violence plague our amazing community. It takes our community members with information to come forward to help the entire city become better. Let us work together to keep our city safe!
