Obituary

Brenda James-Allbritton

June 29, 1952 - September 19, 2022

Brenda James-Allbritton was born on June 29, 1952, in  Franklinton, LA.  She was the daughter of Mr. Elvester "LV" Conerly and  Maudine Conerly. 

Brenda was educated in the Washington Parish School System, attending the historic Washington Parish High School and graduated from Franklinton High School in 1970.  She later graduated with a Medical Assisting diploma from Delta Jr. College and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biblical Studies from the Unity Bible College. 

Brenda began her career at Time Saver and worked fourteen years.  She later worked for Winn-Dixie for 28 years. At Winn Dixie, Brenda was the light of the store and she ensured every customer and colleague felt her love. 

Brenda was not only an asset to her profession, but she was a mighty warrior in the Kingdom of God.  Brenda was saved and filled with the Holy Ghost. As a child and young adult she worked in many capacities in the church and served as Jurisdictional Purity Class Queen. Bridget was called to ministry as a young woman and after serving as an Aspiring Missionary, was licensed as an Evangelist Missionary in Louisiana East  First Jurisdiction.  Missionary James-Allbritton served faithfully at Magee's Temple COGIC in various capacities. In 2022, she was installed as the District Missionary for District  12 , where she worked diligently.  District Missionary James-Allbritton loved the people of God and could always be found with a smile on her face and an encouraging word.  Although she did not always feel well, she always did the work of the Lord.

District Missionary James-Allbritton  transitioned from this life on Monday, September 19, 2022. 

District Missionary James-Allbritton  was preceded in death by her daughters Christy and Candace,  parents, LV Conerly and Maudine Conerly,  brothers  Elvester Conerly Jr, Johnny Conerly, and Ray Brock, sisters Evelyn Warren, Marie Rollins, Lillie Burton, and Cynthia Boutte, and husband of 15 years, Hermon James Jr.

She leaves to cherish her memory her husband of 7 years Glyn Allbritton, sons Corey, Chadrick, and Yancey, her daughters in love, Clara and Kimberly, her grandchildren, April, Warren, Corey Jr, Jordyn and Dylan, her siblings Donna, Ruby, Maggie, Faye, Helen and Laride, her Magee's Temple COGIC and District 12 family and a host of church family across the country.

Drive through viewing Friday, September 23, 2022 from 4:00PM – 6:00PM at Crain and Sons Funeral Home.

Funeral Service Saturday, September 24, 2022 at 1:00PM at Magee's Temple with Supt. Cecealine Tate, Pastor officiating. Interment – Sweet Home Cemetery. 

Crain and Sons Funeral Home, Franklinton are in charge of arrangements.
