2 Indicted by St. Tammany Parish Grand Jury on Rape Charges Involving Victims Under 13

District Attorney Warren Montgomery reports that on Wednesday, September 28, 2022, a St. Tammany Parish Grand Jury indicted two persons in separate cases, each on charges  of first-degree rape involving a victim under 13 and of sexual battery involving a victim under 13. 

Brandon Cedric Jones, age 33 and of Lacombe, was indicted on the charges in a case that involves abuse that spanned approximately 5 years, from the time the child was 6 years old until the child turned 11 years old in Slidell. The victim reported the abuse when she was 17 years old. Detective Katie Robbins with the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office investigated the case and Assistant District Attorney Ysonde Boland presented the case to the grand jury.

George L. Starks, age 29 and of Pearl River, was indicted on the charges in a case in which the victim was 12 when the abuse took place in Slidell in 2022. Detective Patrick Rigney with the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office investigated the case and Assistant District Attorney Ysonde Boland presented the case to the grand jury.
