The Slidell Police reports that earlier today (August 18, 2022), Slidell Police arrested a 15-year-old high school student for bringing a loaded firearm to school.
Shortly after 8:00am, a school resource officer assigned to Salmen High School was alerted about a student who was observed brandishing a firearm on school grounds. The student was quickly located and found with a located a loaded 9mm pistol concealed in the teen’s waistband.
The student was arrested, charged with Illegal Carrying of a Weapon on School Property, and taken to the Florida Parishes Juvenile Detention Center.
