Albert "Danny" Williams

September 6, 1951 - August 2, 2022

On August 2, 2022, Mr. Albert “Danny” Williams, passed away at Rex Heart and Vascular Center in Raleigh, North Carolina. Mr. Williams was a long-time resident of Bogalusa where he retired as an operator at the Bogalusa paper mill. He was a devoted and loving husband and father. He committed his life to Christ and worked in the church. Mr. Williams became a licensed United Pentecostal Church minister in 2009. He was a member of First Pentecostal Church of Bogalusa all of his life until relocating to Spring Lake, North Carolina, where he became an associate pastor at United – The Pentecostal Church of Spring Lake. He was also a veteran of the U.S. Army Reserve, where he proudly served his country.

Mr. Williams is survived by two sons: Jonathan (Brandi) Williams and Joseph “Jody” Williams; three grandchildren: Lilliona Olah, Mattilyn Williams, and Jude Williams; his wife: Sylvia “Faye” Griffith Williams; one brother: Raymond (Joy) Williams; a mother-in-law: Mattie Bethel Phelps; one brother-in-law: Gary (Barbara) Phelps; one sister-in-law: Kim (Mike) Fontenot; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father: Albert Joseph Williams; mother: Menola Bennett Williams; and his wife: Sheila Phelps Williams.

Brown-McGehee Funeral Home was entrusted with final arrangements. Services will take place at First Pentecostal Church of Bogalusa with Bro. Houston officiating. Visitation will be in the chapel of the church on Saturday, August 13, 2022 from 11AM until time of service at 2PM. Interment will immediately follow at Talley’s Chapel Church Cemetery in Bush, LA.
