Logan Maxted, age 20 and a resident of the Mandeville area, has been arrested by the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff's Office following a shooting incident which occurred Tuesday (August 23, 2022) evening at a Mandeville-area residence.
STPSO detectives learned Maxted shot a man multiple times following a verbal altercation at Maxted’s residence. Detectives also learned that Maxted went to the victim’s residence earlier that same day and made threats against the victim’s juvenile family member. At some point during the verbal altercation at Maxted’s residence, Maxted produced a firearm and shot the victim multiple times.
Prior to deputies’ arrival, a family member transported the victim to a local hospital for treatment.
Detectives determined Maxted’s life was not in danger and in no way was he acting in self-defense when he fired upon the victim. Subsequently, he was arrested for Aggravated Battery and booked into the St. Tammany Parish Correctional Center.
