Shannon James Jones
February 17, 1973 - July 18, 2022
On July 18, 2022, Mr. Shannon James Jones passed away at Our Lady of the Angels Hospital in Bogalusa, LA. He was a long-time captain at Florida Marine Transporters and enjoyed riding his motorcycle in his free time, but spending time with his family was his ultimate joy.
He is survived by his wife: Merrideth “Rochelle” Jones; three sons: Brenton Young, Jeramie Young, and Jacob Young; multiple grandchildren; two sisters: Tracy (Clarence) Blanco and Vicky Fitzmorris; one brother: Travis Jones; an aunt: Rita Wheat; and a host of other family and friends that loved him dearly.
Mr. Jones was preceded in death by his parents: Billy Jones and Betty Wheat; an infant brother; and his grandparents: Reece and Bonnie Jones, James Jim Wheat, and Hilda Louise Wheat.
Services will be at Brown-McGehee Funeral Home in Bogalusa, Louisiana on July 22, 2022. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until the Service at 2:00 PM. Interment will be at Pounds Cemetery.
