Cheryl Thomas Knight

April 19, 1950 - June 17, 2022

Cheryl Thomas Knight, age 72 and a resident of Kenner passed away Friday night June 17, 2022 at the Ochsner Medical Center in Kenner after a lengthy illness. She was a native and former resident of Washington Parish born on April 19, 1950. Cheryl worked as a beautician and she loved shopping and going to flea markets and thrift stores. She had an artist’s flair with arts and crafts, painting and decorating. Cheryl also enjoyed traveling and cooking for her friends and family. She loved her children and grandchildren immensely.

Sons: Michael Beall of Bogalusa, James Knight, Jr. of Harahan; Daughters and Sons in law: Tiffany and Kenny Perilloux, Stephanie and Jonathan Smith, Heather Warner; Daughter in law: Cammie Crain; Sister: Carla Schenkel; Grandchildren: Brook Beall Nunley Ashley and Jason Lowry, Hydie and Natalie DeHart, James “Trey” Knight, III, Brittany and Olivia Perilloux, Taylor Perilloux, Riley Perilloux, Ryne Smith, Austin Smith, Easton Smith, Lanie Warner; Great-grandchildren: Branson Nunley McKenzie Nunley, Addison Lowry, Knox Perilloux

She was preceded in death recently by her husband James Paul “Jimmy” Knight, Sr. and parents Fred Michael Thomas and Ruth Eulain Branch Thomas.

Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home (1109 Bene Street, Franklinton) on Wednesday June 22nd from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 2:00 pm Wednesday with Rev. David Easterling officiating. Burial will follow in the Pine First Baptist Church Cemetery.
