Sis. Mary Jefferson Hills was born February 9, 1934, to the late Francis Harris and the late Curtis Jefferson in Varnado, LA. She departed this life peacefully at her home on April 29, 2022, in Angie, LA.
She was married to Deacon Ben Hills for 45 years. Mrs. Hills was a member of Sunlight Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Dr. Charles Galloway in Sandy Hook, MS.
Sis Mary Hills leaves to cherish her memories, her husband of 45 years Deacon Ben Hills; 3 Godchildren: April Spikes Walker, Quartez Walker, Desire Owens of Atlanta, GA; a favorite niece, Allison Aikens; Special helpers: Sylvia Alexander, Eva Beavers, Mary Galloway, and Janice Langley; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, friends, and church family.
Drive through viewing will be Thursday, May 5, 2022, from 4pm – 6pm at Crain and Sons Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be Friday, May 6, 2022, at 11 am at Crain and Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Dr. Charles Galloway officiating. Interment will be at Sunlight Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in Sandy Hook, MS.
Crain and Sons Funeral Home in Bogalusa is in charge of arrangements.
