Ronald "Ronnie" Dickerson

July 13, 1948 - May 28, 2022

Ronald "Ronnie" Dickerson, age 73 and a resident of Franklinton, died Saturday afternoon May 28, 2022 at Lakeview Regional Medical Center. He was born July 13, 1948 and worked as an electric lineman as a young man. Ronnie, better known as “Piss Ant” to his close friends, was in a work-related accident early in life which took his hands/arms, but he never let that stop him from doing what he loved. He loved hunting and the outdoors. Ronnie killed many deer and turkeys throughout his life hunting in areas all around Washington Parish. He also enjoyed running Fox hounds and hanging out with his buddies. Ronnie always liked spending time with his family.

Survived by: Wife: Margaine Adams Dickerson; Step-Sons: Chuck McDaniel, Justin Seals; Step-Daughter: Samantha Adams; Granddaughters: Olivia, Braylee, Gracelee; Brothers: Leroy Dickerson, James Harold Dickerson; Nieces and Nephews: Sheryl and Joe Brown, Stacy and Mechelle Dickerson; Also numerous other nieces, nephews, other family members and many friends

He was preceded in death by his son Ronald Lee “Little Ronnie” Dickerson, daughter Rhonda Lynn Dickerson, step-son Joe McDaniel, parents James Willard Dickerson and Nellie Mae Oneill Dickerson.

A memorial service for family and friends will be held at Crain Funeral Home Thursday June 2nd. Visitation will begin at 5:00 pm until the service at 7:00 pm with Rev. Bryan Bates officiating. Per Ronnie’s wishes, he will be laid to rest alongside his children in the Bonner Creek Baptist Church Cemetery at a later date.

Honorary Pallbearers: Will Magee, Randy Crain, Leon Palmer and other hunting buddies he made through the years.
