Gwendolyn Ann Smith

April 26, 1945 - May 26, 2022

Gwendolyn Ann Smith was born on April 26,1945 in Bogalusa, La. to the late Carlos Smith and the late Virgie Harris Smith. She left this earthly life on May 26, 2022. Gwen joined Whitehall Missionary Baptist Church at an early age. She was a dedicated hardworking member.

Gwen was a very active person. She loved her bike and could be seen riding around town. She was an avid walker and loved to tell you the happenings "on top of the hill". Although Gwen had no biological children of her own, she raised several generations. She did it with strength, power, and humility.

She leaves to cherish her memory a very special niece, Virgie Moses of Bogalusa, La., two sisters , Donna Borders of Lynnwood, California, Barbara Ann Sykes of Stockton, California and a whole host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and loved ones.

She is preceded in death by her father Carlos Smith; her mother Virgie Harris Smith; four sisters: Alfreda Adams, Bennie Britt, Sheila Porter, Sharon Smith; one brother: Carlos Smith, Jr.; three nephews, Freddie Adams, Bobby Adams, Sr.,  Eddie Adams, Sr.

Drive through will be Friday, June 3, 2022, from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm at Crain and Sons Funeral Home, Bogalusa.

Funeral Service will be 10:00 am Saturday, June 4, 2022 at Crain and Sons Funeral Home, Bogalusa. Interment at Bogalusa Cemetery. Crain and Sons Funeral Home-Bogalusa in charge of arrangements.
