Michael Andrew Loyd

February 4, 1958 - May 19, 2022

On the morning of May 19, 2022 at the age of 64 years old, Michael Andrew Loyd gained his heavenly Angel wings in Baton Rouge due to cancer.

He was a carefree soul with a passion for music and playing on his guitar. He also loved to read almost anything he could get his hands on but his Bible was his favorite book. He’s going to be greatly missed by many people who loved him dearly.

He is survived by one daughter Krystle Merritt, a son-in-law Jim Merritt, three grandchildren Joseph, Bailey, and Damien, one brother of Baton Rouge, Louisiana Mark Loyd, one sister of Franklinton, Louisiana Michelle Johnston, brother-n-law Darren Johnston, two nieces Cari Smith and Rachel Gailla, three nephews, Lance Smith, Josh Smith, and Patrick Smith, and lots of cousin, and great- nieces, and great-nephews.

He is in preceded in death by his parents Delmer Edsel Loyd and Ella Rose Alford Loyd.
