The Pike County Sheriff's Office reported today (May 24, 2022) that a residential burglary in McComb, MS was solved after detectives retrieved video surveillance.
PCSO responded on May 16, 2022 to a report of the burglary on Marley Lane in McComb. Surveillance revealed the suspect forcibly entering the home while armed with a pistol. Numerous items of value were taken from the residence.
The suspect was identified as 18-year-old Charles M. Thompson of McComb. Thompson was arrested at his residence and charged with Burglary of a Dwelling, Possession of Stolen Firearm and Possession of Control Substance.
Some of the stolen items were recovered at the residence, but detectives are still attempting to locate other items. If anyone purchased items from Thompson, please contact The Pike County Sheriff’s Office at 601-783-6767 or Central Dispatch at 601-783-2323. The investigation is still ongoing.
All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
