At a Special Meeting of the Washington Parish Council at 6:00 PM on April 14, 2022, the Council approved Ordinance 22-707 – The Washington Parish Utility Scale Solar Project Facility Standards Ordinance. The vote was unanimous. The Special Meeting was preceded by a well-attended Public Hearing on the ordinance at 5:45 PM.

For over a year, the Council has discussed, deliberated, and received input from interested parties on regulations needed for utility scale solar projects in Washington Parish.
