Gwendolyn "Gwen" Sherman
July 1, 1948 - April 8, 2022
Ms. Gwendolyn “Gwen” Sherman, age 73, passed away on April 8, 2022, at Lakeview Regional Medical Center in Covington, LA. She was a life-long resident of Bogalusa, Louisiana, where she enjoyed collecting antiques and gardening.
Ms. Sherman is survived by a spouse of 17 years, Frankie Corley; five sons: Brian Carroll, Anthony Carroll, Benjamen Carroll, Reece Carroll, and Trystan Carroll; four grandchildren: Ciera Carroll, Gage Carroll, Colden Carroll, and Aiden Carroll; one sister: Mona Lisa Grantham; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
She was preceded in death by a son: Stephen Sherman; her parents: Robert and Lillie Baker; two sisters: Pearl Fairburn and Barbara Kennedy; and two brothers: Robert “Skipper” Baker and Roger Baker.
Brown-McGehee Funeral Home was entrusted with final arrangements. Visitation will start in the chapel on Tuesday, April 12, 2022, at 10AM until time of service at 2PM. Interment will immediately follow at Plainview Baptist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers are as follows: Scot Cassanova, Jeremy Qualls, PJohn Grantham, Tyler Seal, Nathan Netherland and Sean Netherland.
