The Concerned Citizens of Washington Parish is asking that the public attend and voice opinion on the proposed Utility Scale Solar Project Facilities Ordinance at a meeting tonight (March 14, 2022). The meeting is scheduled for 5:00 PM in the Council Chambers located in the Washington Parish Courthouse.
The ordinance is on the Agenda to be introduced at the 6:00 PM meeting of the Washington Parish Council.
Reportedly three sites are currently proposed for Washington Parish.
The issue regarding solar panel projects in Washington Parish and their regulation by the Washington Parish Council has been ongoing for several months.
