Sheriff Seal Seeks Public Help to ID Killer

On Thursday (March 3, 2022) evening, a Washington Parish Sheriff’s Office patrol deputy responded to the Pub Lounge on south Columbia Street in Bogalusa and discovered the owner, Marl Wayne Smith, had been murdered. In addition, the ATM machine inside the business had been destroyed and all money taken.

Sheriff Randy Seal asks the public’s help to identify the suspected murderer. Any person with information about this murder is asked to call Detective Captain Tom Anderson at (985) 661-2024. Callers may remain anonymous.

“Please look closely at this picture and help us identify this cold-blooded killer so we can put him in jail where he belongs,” stated Sheriff Randy Seal. “He must be brought to justice!”
