Hylton Spillman

November 11, 1939 - March 24, 2022

Hylton Spillman, age 82 and a resident of Pine, died Thursday afternoon March 24, 2022 at his home surrounded by his beloved family. He had a long career as a switchboard operator in the railroad industry for different companies before retiring from ICG Railroad. Hylton then worked as a cross country truck driver for different companies, the most recent being Inway Trucking. He was a Master Mason of The Order of Free and Accepted Masons. Hylton always enjoyed visiting with his friends and family, often sitting on the back porch enjoying a cup of coffee. He was a great storyteller and he liked woodworking and gardening. Hylton loved his family and had a special place in his heart for his pet dogs “Brees”, “Sophie” and “Jazz”.

Survived by: Wife of 43 years: Linda Pierce Spillman of Pine; Children and Spouses: Hylton Jevonne and Kathy Spillman of Saucier, MS, Sonya Spillman Casard of Mt. Hermon, Richard Scott and Kelly Ard of Tylertown, MS, Stephanie and Joe Phelps, Raymond Daniel Spillman all of Bogalusa, Jerry Earl Spillman and Cathy Knight of Mt. Hermon; Grandchildren and Spouses: Brittany and Heath Pittman, Kala and Terry Lozier, Kallie Holland, Katelyn Spillman, Ira Colwell, Trevor Penton, Tyler Kemp; 10 Great-grandchildren; Also numerous nieces and nephews

He was preceded in death by an infant son Baby Boy Spillman, first wife Claudia Earline Flynn Spillman, parents Jerry Everette Spillman, Sr. and Leila Savoy Spillman, sister Delorice Spillman Mizell, brothers Jerry Everette Spillman, Jr., Earl Spillman and other family members.

Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home Saturday March 26th from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm and after 10:00 am on Sunday. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 2:00 pm Sunday with Eld. Jason Skipper and Eld. Doyle Ball officiating. Burial will follow in the Central Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.
