Teresa Brown Simpson
September 19, 1951 - March 24, 2022
Teresa Brown Simpson, age 70 and a resident of Franklinton, died Thursday March 24, 2022 at St. Tammany Parish Hospital. She was a 1969 graduate of Franklinton High School who obtained her Bachelor’s Degree from Southeastern Louisiana University. Teresa later received a Master’s Degree in Speech Therapy from the University of Southern Mississippi. She served the young people of Washington Parish for over 30 years as a speech therapist at several different schools throughout the area. Teresa was an avid sports fan who loved attending LSU football games and many times traveled to Houston Astros baseball games. She always loved playing “Bridge” each week with her friends. Teresa was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church.
Survived by: 2 Brothers and Sisters in law: Frank and Nancy Brown of Baton Rouge, Robbie and Sherri Brown of Franklinton; 3 Nephews and Nieces: Matthew and Kelsey Brown of Bethesda, MD, Daniel Brown of Baton Rouge, Barrett and Christi Brown of Franklinton; Great-nephews and a great-niece: Beau Brown, McCully Brown, Eleanor Brown; Step-mother: Peggy Brown of Jackson, MS; Also numerous extended family members and many dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents Earl R. Brown, Sr. and Leona Vessier Brown.
A graveside memorial service will be held in Ellis Cemetery at 11:00 am Tuesday March 29th with Rev. Percy Frazier officiating.
