Warren Ellis Bateman
December 2, 1953 - March 24, 2022
Warren Ellis Bateman, age 68 and a resident of Franklinton, died Thursday March 24, 2022 at his home. He was a crane mechanic for 24 years at Gulf Crane Services. Warren had previously worked as a mechanic at Bateman’s Diesel for many years and also worked on equipment for his friends, neighbors and family. He enjoyed riding his Honda motorcycle and taking camping trips all across the country. Over the years, Warren and his wife visited many mountain ranges, state and national parks, including Yellowstone National Park. He had a special place in his heart for his pet Pomeranians “Chico” and “Rocky”.
Survived by: Wife: Jackie G. Bateman of Franklinton; Children: Derwin Bateman, Wendy Owens, Tia Smith; Grandchildren: Dallas Bateman, Bayne Robbins, Brendon Smith, Prudence Smith; Also numerous other family members and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents Ellis Ezekiel Bateman and Mary Nell Warren Bateman and a young grandson Parish Owens.
A graveside funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm Sunday April 3rd at the Mount Hermon Pentecostal Church Cemetery with Rev. Denny Jenkins, Rev. Randall Garcia and Rev. Raymond Garcia officiating. Burial will follow.
