Roseland Man Found Deceased at Fire Scene / Suspected Homicide

Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff's Office Chief Jimmy Travis has advised that on Monday (January 24, 2022), Fire District 1 of Amite responded to a structure fire on Richardson Road. The body of a male was found after arrival outside of the unoccupied structure.

TPSO was notified and responded to the scene. Detectives were able to identify the victim as 24-year-old James Muse of Roseland. This is currently being worked as a homicide investigation.
