Rodah Magee

August 18, 1935 - January 1, 2022

Mrs. Rodah Magee was called home on Saturday, January 1, 2022 at 5:00PM. She was the daughter of the late Mr. Henry and Jessie Bickham.

She was married to Mr. Augustus Magee, Sr. on August 8, 1952 and to this union six children were born, Augustus Magee, Jr., Glenda Magee, Sandra Davis, Jurunist Mills, Linora and Lynora Magee.

She joined New Jerusalem Baptist Church at an early age. She was a house wife and care taker for many years. She attended Star Creek School.

She leaves to cherish her memories: her daughters, Sandra (Bennie) Davis of Franklinton, LA, Jurunist (Eld. Roger) Mills of Baton Rouge, LA.; grandchildren, Bennie Rayneal Davis Jr., Augustus (Englisha) Magee III, Courtney Magee, Rodesha (Douglas) Morris, and Chelsey Magee; two God grandchildren, Montreall Tate and Latoya Miles, four great grandchildren; sisters, Audrey Tate, Mary (Frank) Bailey, Rosa Franklin, Delores Bickham; one brother, Mitchell (Judy) Bickham; two sisters-in-law, Corine Magee and Catherine Magee; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Augustus Magee Sr.; her children, Augustus Magee Jr., Glenda Magee, Linora and Lynora Magee; a granddaughter, Chelsey Magee; a great grandchild, Jodaria Levi Conner; her parents, Henry and Jessie Bickham; four brothers, Henry Earl Bickham, and Elijah Bickham; four sisters, Algie Hart, Rita Ryans, JoElla Bickham and Jerlean Barker.

A drive through viewing will be held on Friday, January 14, 2022 from 4:00PM – 6:00PM at Crain and Sons.

A Graveside Service on Saturday, January 15, 2022 at 2:00PM at St. James Cemetery with Rev. Johnny Causey – Pastor Officiating. 

Crain and Sons Funeral Home – Franklinton are in charge of arrangements.
