Brian Anthony Nichols

March 17, 1972 - January 9, 2022

Brian Anthony Nichols was born on March 17, 1972, to the late Ozell “Jack” Nichols and Sarah Nichols. He passed away on Sunday, January 9, 2022, at the age of 49 years old.

He was a proud graduate of the Varnado High School Wildcats Class of 1990 where he played snare drums in the Wildcat Band. After graduation, he matriculated to Grambling State University and marched in the World Famed Tiger Marching Band where he was a percussionist and became a member of Kappa Kappa Psi National Honorary Band Fraternity. He later attended Pearl River Community College in Poplarville, Mississippi to take up Dentistry. 

Brian leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 10 years, Cashanda Nichols; his mother, Sarah Nichols of Angie, Louisiana; two sons, Adaryl Da’Shawn Bickham of Franklinton, Louisiana and Cardez Jackson of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; three daughters, Aryanna and Bryanna Nichols of Bogalusa, Louisiana and Jaden Foster of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; one brother, Apostle Kenneth (Tonia) Nichols of Columbus, Ohio; a God-sister, Laquisha (Shadic) Greely-Mark of Angie, Louisiana; his mother-in-law, Shirley Jackson of Bogalusa, Louisiana; one sister-in-law, Belinda (Jimmie) Shrophsire of Bogalusa, Louisiana; and one brother-in-law, Julius L. Jackson II of Bogalusa, Louisiana.  He also leaves to cherish his memories, six aunts, Mae Anderson of New Orleans, Louisiana; Gloria Hart and Edna (Abron) Magee of Franklinton, Louisiana; Priscilla August of Mandeville, Louisiana; Frances Wiggins of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; and Alice Magee of Deer Park, Texas; one uncle, Donald Ray Martin Sr. of Franklinton, Louisiana; and several nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends.

Brian is preceded in death by his father Deacon Ozell “Jack” Nichols, his sister, Jackie Nichols Brown, his grandparents, Roszelar Peters, Porter and Julie Mae Nichols, K.T. and Evie Martin, and his father-in-law, Julius Jackson I.

Drive Through Viewing will be Friday, January 14, 2022 4:00PM - 6:00PM at Crain and Sons Funeral Home in Bogalusa.

Funeral service will be Saturday, January 15, 2022 10:00AM at Crain and Sons Funeral Home with pastor, Dr. Sidney Jones, officiating. Interment in Dillon Cemetery Angie, Louisiana. 

Crain and Sons Funeral Home - Bogalusa are in charge of arrangements.
