Betty Joyce Kennedy

August 28, 1933 - January 6, 2022

Betty Joyce Kennedy, age 88 and a resident of Riverview Apartments in Franklinton, passed away Thursday morning January 6, 2022. She enjoyed making crafts and going on trips with her friends at Riverview. Betty was a lifelong member of Stateline Missionary Baptist Church that enjoyed planting flowers and working in the yard. Her family was always the most important thing in her life and she loved drinking coffee and visiting with her beloved brothers. Betty adored her many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

She is survived by 2 brothers and sisters in law Jay “J.B.” and Joan Kennedy, Clyde and Yvonne Kennedy; Also numerous nieces, nephews and other family members

She was preceded in death by her parents Henry Andrew Kennedy and Eunice Pope Kennedy, five brothers and sisters in law Carlos W. and Bonnie Mae Kennedy, Havon and Elsie Kennedy, Bryce and Ruth Kennedy, Harry and Annie Mae Kennedy, Ford and Dorothy Kennedy, four sisters and brothers in law Henrietta K. and Nolan Ray Williamson, Myra K. and Earl Boone, Earline K. and Reese Parker, Annette H. and William R. Armour, Jr.

Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home Monday January 10th from 10:00 am until 1:00 pm. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 1:00 pm Monday with Bro. Glenn Nace, Bro. Bryant Barnes and Bro. Trey Jenkins officiating. Interment will follow in the Seal Cemetery on Henry Kennedy Road.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Stateline Missionary Baptist Church or Angie First Baptist Church.
