Rhonda Jean Morris Richard

June 21, 1957 - January 17, 2022

Rhonda Jean Morris Richard, age 64 and a resident of Amite, died Monday January 17, 2022 at her home. She worked for many years as a seamstress at Rutter Rex in Franklinton and Tylertown. Rhonda enjoyed sewing and crocheting in her free time. She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church that enjoyed drinking coffee each morning with her husband. Rhonda always loved visiting with her family and friends.

Survived by: Husband of 43 years: Johnny Richard of Amite; 2 Daughters and a Son in law: Mandy and Felix Austin of Gonzales, Hiedi Sam of Amite; 2 Sons: Joey Morris of Amite, Jamie Richard of Franklinton; Grandchildren and Spouses: Brittany Neisser, Kacie Ann and Cody Joiner, Brandon Watts, Brandy and Jonathan Milner, Kristin Morris, Bryce Birch, Savanna Sauce, Juda Sauce, Blair Richard, Skylar Richard, Kyle Richard; 13 Great-grandchildren; Sister in law: Nan Morris of Amite; Special Niece: Melinda Mixon and Bro. Walter Mixon; Also numerous other nieces, nephews and family members

She was preceded in death by her parents Kinzey Morris and Ruby Passman Morris, sister and brothers in law Patsy Lou and Bobby Earl Alford, brother and sister in law Eddie and Gloria Helen Morris, brother J.W. Morris, young brother Ronnie James Morris, nephews Earl Alford, Kenny Alford and other family members.

Visitation will be at Friendship Baptist Church (62508 Friendship Church Road, Amite) on Friday January 21st from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm. A funeral service will be held in the church at 2:00 pm Friday with Bro. Steven Miller and Bro. Walter Mixon officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Pallbearers: Travis Morris, Ken Mixon, Patrick Varnado, Jimmie Walker, Ronnie Alford, Brandon Watts, Jeff Alford, David Walker

Crain Funeral Home in Franklinton, Louisiana is in charge of arrangements.
