Elizabeth Rose Mayer Griggsby
July 24, 1959 - December 31, 2021
Elizabeth Rose Mayer Griggsby, age 62 and a resident of Franklinton, died Friday morning December 31, 2021 at Heritage Manor Nursing Home. She worked as a cook at several different restaurants in the area for many years. Liz also loved cooking at home for her family and friends. She enjoyed visiting the mountains and collecting all types of lighthouse statuettes and figurines. Liz was always a devoted wife and mother and forever a loving grandmother.
Survived by: Sons: Steven Paul Griggsby, Jr., Mark Domingue, Scott Byrd; Daughters: Angelique Griggsby, Nikki Maryland, Jessica Byrd and Hilton Magee; Grandchildren: Danielle Griggsby, Savannah Griggsby, Sierra Maryland, Christopher Maryland, Nickolas Maryland, Sarah Domingue, Matthew Domingue, Malakhi Primus; Great-grandchildren: Kaydence Griggsby, Isabella Maryland; Brother: Kenneth Mayer; Nieces: Jamie Wong, Stephanie Wong; Cousins: All her Eiermann cousins, Terry Marie LoPresti, Toni Rose LoPresti; Also numerous other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by a son Brian Domingue, husband Steven Paul Griggsby, Sr. parents Leo Mayer and Dorothy Magee Mayer, father in law and mother in law James Griggsby and Irma Forshey Griggsby, brother in law Herbie Griggsby and sister in law Susan Wong.
A memorial service for her family and friends will be held at a later date.
