Minister Louis Bond Jackson

March 15, 1939 - November 14, 2021

Minister Louis Bond Jackson was born to Earnest Jackson and Tommie Lee Jackson Wilbert in Columbus, MS on March 15, 1939.  Later they moved to Bogalusa.  He accepted Christ at an early age. He was under the leadership of Bishop John White at St. John Temple, later he united with Allen Temple under the leadership of Dr. Fetus, and in his last years he united with First Church of God in Christ under the leadership of Bishop Howard Quillen.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 33 years Phyllis Jackson and his children: Louis Bond  (Beverlyn Ann) Jackson, Jr. of Newport, Virginia, Tammy (Steve) Jackson-Brown, Gregory Jackson, Byron Louis (Cherie) Jackson, TyNisha Jackson, Uhneqa Young, and Tyrie Peters all of Bogalusa, LA; two brothers: Lester Samuel Jackson of Columbus, Ohio, and Columbus L. Peters of Cleveland, Ohio; two sisters: Claudia Hibbett of Columbia, MS and Estella Weary Jones of California; four nieces: Cissy Conerly of Jackson, MS, Belinda Cardwell of Columbus, Ohio, Ericka Conerly of Bogalusa and Lerolyn (James) White of Baton Rouge, LA; four grandchildren: Louis Bond Jackson, IV, Steven James Jackson, Jade Jackson, and Tytianna Brister; one great grand: Bella Rose Amora; four devoted and loyal friends: Gleen Cotton, Sam Abrams, Elder Victory Robinson and Charles Morgan.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Earnest Jackson and Tommie Lee Wilbert; one son: Reginald Van Cotton; one sister: Patricia Conerly and one brother: Vernell Wilbert Sr.

Drive through viewing will be Friday, November 26, 2021 from 4pm – 6pm at Crain and Sons Funeral Home.

Funeral Service will be Saturday, November 27, 2021 at 3:00pm at Crain and Sons Funeral Home with Elder Victor Robinson - officiating. Interment - Bogalusa Cemetery. 

Crain and Sons Funeral Home - Bogalusa are in charge of arrangements.
