Beverly Davis Caves
October 22, 1952 - November 3, 2021
Beverly Davis Caves, age 69 and a resident of Franklinton, died early Wednesday morning November 3, 2021 at St. Tammany Parish Hospital. She was retired after a long career as a math, science and history teacher. Beverly touched the lives of countless middle school children during her service at Dexter, Tylertown and most recently at Mount Hermon School before retiring. She was an active member of Hillcrest Baptist Church, where she directed the church nursery for many years. Beverly loved being a part of Hillcrest’s Women's Prayer group each week and enjoyed going to lunch with her friends. She loved her pet dogs and liked to get her fingernails done. Beverly adored her family and loved watching her grandchildren play sports and going to their activities and events.
Survived by: 3 Sons and Daughters in law: Jeremiah and Christy Freeman of Sandy Hook, Jeremy and Shaunna Freeman of Mt. Hermon, Stephen and Elizabeth Pickering of Franklinton; Grandchildren: Tristan Freeman, Cody Freeman, Alyssa Barber, Madison Montecino, Blake Pickering, Rylee Pickering, Jax Pickering, Maddie Stogner; Also many dear friends, her Hillcrest Church family, former teachers and co-workers
She was preceded in death by her parents Lloyd Lynn Davis and Lucille Copeland Davis, a brother Stephen Davis and infant twin siblings.
Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home Friday November 5th from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm. Visitation will continue Saturday from 12:00 pm until 2:30 pm. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 2:30 pm Saturday with Dr. Gene Richards, Bro, Daryl Dunigan and Rev. Mack McElveen officiating. Burial will follow in the Tylertown Cemetery.
