Obituary

Kevin Bryce "Da Bull" Blackmon

October 10, 1966 - October 10, 2021

Kevin Bryce "Da Bull" Blackmon, age 55 and a resident of Pine, Louisiana, dared to challenge this earth with his presence on October 10, 1966. On October 10, 2021, 55 years later, his travels on this earth were complete. Passionate. That’s one word that will come to mind anytime we find ourselves remembering Bull. He was one of the most passionate souls we’ve known. He was passionate about his family, his friends, his accomplishments, his beliefs and thoughts, and as we all know, his cooking! No one could BBQ or boil crawfish as good as him! Bull had a love for going fast and loud music. If you heard him say it he would tell you he could show his brother how to drive his race car. Bull felt music in his soul and could portray that through his singing. He could actually carry half a tune in a bucket. So many loved ones that Bull leaves here on this earth who will remember him for all of the wonderful things about him but also for all of the times he challenged their patience. Because if there’s one thing Bull could do it would be to ruffle your feathers. But in a time of need he would be the first to show up.

Bull leaves behind his mama: Virginia Blackmon, 2 siblings. 1 brother: Eddie Larue Blackmon with his family, 1 sister: Tomika Blackmon. 4 children, Heather Ball, Abigail Blackmon with her family, Derek Pardee with his family, and Kevin “Lil’ Man” Knight. 6 grandchildren: Kehton, Kentlee, Elizabeth, Lana, Lynden, and Isaiah. A Goddaughter/niece: Amber King with her family and a niece: Tiffany Mitchell with her family. A nephew: Brandon Devillier with his family. He leaves behind many aunts, uncles, cousins, loved ones, and friends who will now have to remember him with all of the memories we have been blessed with of him.

Bull was preceded in death by his dad Eddie Blackmon, sister (in-law) Sarah Lynn Odom Blackmon, baby granddaughter Asia, grandparents Louie and Freddie Dillon, grandparents Nunlie and Eva Headly Blackmon, and his aunts Hazel Magee and Louise Thomas.

Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home Wednesday October 27th from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm. A graveside funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Thursday in the Central Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery with Eld. Jason Skipper officiating.

Honorary Pallbearers are Delbert Dillon and Danny Jones
