Obituary

Frank S. Bickham, Sr.

February 13, 1931 - October 7, 2021

Frank S. Bickham, Sr., age 90 and a resident of Mount Hermon, died early Thursday morning October 7, 2021 at the University Medical Center in New Orleans. He served his country as a United States Army veteran of the Korean War and later served his community as a law enforcement officer for many, many years. Frank worked with the Baton Rouge Police Department for several years before returning home to work as a deputy with the Washington Parish Sheriff’s Office. He later worked as the Juvenile Officer of the 22nd Judicial Court in both St. Tammany and Washington Parish before retiring. Frank enjoyed fishing, hunting and the outdoors. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

Survived by: Wife of 70 years: “Dude” Riley Bickham of Mt. Hermon; Son and Daughter in law: Frank “Bo-Bo” Bickham, Jr. and Annie Rose Bickham of Mt. Hermon; Grandchildren: Lisa Bickham, Monica Bickham, Anna Bickham; Great-grandchildren: April King, Indie Bickham, Asa Bickham; Also numerous other family members

He was preceded in death by his parents W. Edgar Bickham and Dewees Alford Bickham, sister Myra Paxton, young sisters Mary Lou Bickham, Ruth Bickham and niece Patsy Mitchell.

Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home Sunday October 10th from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 2:00 pm Sunday with Dr. Joe Baugh, Rev. Frederick Brumfield and Rev. Bryan Bates officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in the Mount Hermon Cemetery.
