Austin Blake Jenkins

May 6, 1994 - September 8, 2021

Austin Blake Jenkins was born on May 6, 1994 in Covington, LA and passed away on September 8, 2021 at Riverside Medical Center in Franklinton, LA at the age of 27. Austin loved sports; especially, baseball and football. Austin’s most enjoyable and cherished moments were times spent with family.

He is survived by his parents; Bruce and Deidra Sheridan of Sun, LA; his sisters, Jennifer Williams and her children, Baya, Onre, Ruby and Amos of Covington, LA and Marla Allen and husband Eli of Aurora, Colorado; his fiancé, Jonna Jenkins; his daughters, Brinley Jenkins of Franklinton, LA and Mallory Freeman of Bogalusa, LA; his stepchildren, Shyla and Kian Murray of Bogalusa, LA; his grandmother, Doris Stewart of Bogalusa, LA; and numerous, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Austin is also survived by many special people, Phillis Dykes Cone (grandmother to Mallory, Shyla, and Kian); Todd Williams, Lee Risner. And the parents of Jonna Jenkins, Mark and Diana Smith and Steve and Joanna Jenkins. Hammer and Rachel Jenkins (siblings of Jonna Jenkins), and Lou Jenkins (grandmother of Jonna Jenkins).

He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Dewitt and Gleta Jenkins; his paternal grandfather, Lamar Stewart; his great grandmother, Idell Crain, and the mother of his daughter Mallory, Jennifer Freeman.

Family and friends are invited to attend services at Brown McGehee Funeral Home in Bogalusa, LA. Visitation will be on Sunday, September 12, 2021 from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm and will resume Monday, September 13, 2021 from 9:00 am until service time at 11:00 am. Interment will follow in Talley’s Chapel Cemetery in Sun, LA.
