John Denman "Denny" Stringfield

July 3, 1979 - August 23, 2021

John Denman "Denny" Stringfield, age 42 and a resident of Franklinton passed away Monday afternoon August 23, 2021 at the V.A. Hospital in New Orleans. He was a 1997 graduate of Franklinton High School, where he loved playing the saxophone in the FHS Demon Regiment for 4 years. Denny later received his HVAC certification from Sullivan Vocational School. He has served as the service shop manager for Ryder Transportation in Hammond for the last 15 years. Denny always liked working with his hands and fixing or building things. He enjoyed going camping with his family and friends at all the nearby campgrounds. Denny adored his wife and children and he loved having fun times with his family.

Survived by: Wife: Melissa Penny Stringfield of Mt. Hermon; 3 Children: Brianna LaSalle, Addyson Stringfield, Wyatt Stringfield; Mother: Cathy Warren Stringfield of Franklinton; 2 Sisters and Spouses: Lisa and Brent Hoggatt, Lindsey and Anne Stringfield all of Franklinton; Mother in law: Brenda Penny of Mt. Hermon; Sister in law and Brother in law: Stacey and Brad Breaud of Mt. Hermon; Nieces and Nephews: Kaitlyn and Matthew Stuart, Sarah Hoggatt, Jacob Breaud, Micah Breaud, Eli Breaud; Lifelong Friend: Chesley Spears; Also numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and many special friends

He was preceded in death recently by his father Barry Scott Stringfield, grandparents Ashley Stringfield and Frankie Welch Stringfield, John Warren and Jean Magee Warren.

Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home Saturday August 28th from 9:00 am until 12:00 pm. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 12:00 pm Saturday with Rev. Ray Wuerzer officiating. Burial will follow in the Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery.
